The Invention reflects original creative thought (20 Pts)

Would grade as (5) point

Would grade as (10) point

Although we seldom see an invention project that meets this score, it's one that displays absolutely no original creative thought.

Would grade as (10) point

(10) points for this category is perhaps the one we see the most. To the student inventor, they may think their invention is a first ever, but to the judge it may fall a little short. We want to give some credit for the lack of experience of our young inventors.

Would grade as (20) point

(20) points should almost never be given to a student project, for creative thought. This should be a project that may be able to secure a patent, identify a manufacturing source, market and sell a finished product.

The Invention has practical value (20 Pts)
